Dog barking can be very irritating sometimes especially if the dog does not have the barking control. To have a dog barking control, you can use bark control collars on your dog. Aside from using dog barking control collars for your dogs, you can try other methods or trainings instead. For a dog with excessive barking habit, it must have a behavioral problem. In this case, you need the help of a veterinary professional or dog obedience training school. Nevertheless, barking is still a normal behavior for a dog.

To prevent dog barking, you can train your dog from the time he is still a puppy. By doing this, proper encouragement of not allowing him to bark all the time should be given. You can train the puppies of not barking at little occurrences or sounds until he became a full-grown dog. Every time a treat or reward is given to the dog, do not encourage him to do barking. This is one way of dog barking control. On the contrary, once your dog does not stop of barking when someone is at your dog, do not control him. This idea is advantageous in cases of intruders.

Dog barking control is not easy to prevent in most cases. Dogs normally bark for many reasons. Some dogs bark because they fell isolated and lonely. In this case, you can get another dog to accompany your old dog. In this way, your old dog will be pre-occupied and will not do excessive barking anymore. Another thing is do not chain up your dog as this will make him bark excessively. Give your dog a little freedom. In case you leave the house for a while and your dog stays at home, leave your television or radio open so your dog will hear common sounds. In this way, his barking will be prevented.

One homemade solution for dog barking control is a spray bottle of water. Every time your dogs bark excessively, you can try squirting his face with water. In this way, your dog will be conditioned of the fact that every time he barks excessively a squirt of water will be sprayed on his face. This method surely works in many cases.  It is not effective to yell at your dog as form of dog barking control since it will either frighten him or make him more excited. Dogs generally are very sociable and loving creatures.
